On Friday 7 June thirty Old Churcherians gathered in the cocktail bar of Annie Jones for 'OC Petersfield Drinks' - a casual drinks evening of chatting and reconnecting. It was great to have over so many former students represented in year groups ranging from 1956 right through to 2023. Some attendees had not been to an OC event before, others were good friends from years of reunions and catch ups.

The evening started early with a few quiet drinks but soon the bar was buzzing with laughter and chat. Most guests were local, but some OCs had travelled down from London and even futher afield.The Headmaster and his wife joined in whilst OCs reminisced about the teachers and classes they remembered from their time at Churcher's. By chance we discovered two OCs had been sitting in the main restaurant (oblivious to our event next door), when they spotted some old friends and joined the party!

Fraser Isaac (08) said 'The OC drinks were a great chance to re-connect with old school friends, meet new people and hear where life has taken everyone since leaving the school. It was the perfect opportunity to actually spend an evening with those school friends you keep meaning to make a date for'.

The evening finished when the bar staff kindly asked us to move on to allow them to close up! It was a pleasure to welcome so many OCs to this new event in Petersfield and we look forward to hosting another 'OC Petersfield Drinks' next year.... watch this space!
