It was wonderful to welcome back our senior Old Churcherians, who had all left the College at least 50 years ago, and their guests for a hugely enjoyable and sunny afternoon in September. Some had already left Churcher's when Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne and there was a moment of reflection to honour our late monarch's passing.

The OCs and their guests were highly engaged in conversation with current Sixth Form students, who were fascinated to hear tales of times past and enjoyed sharing their experiences of Churcher's in the 21st century. There was also a chance for the OCs to find themselves and their friends and teachers in the school photos that adorn the Gallery walls, as well as perusing Churcerian magazines and other items from their years at school, brought over from the archive.

Having enjoyed a proper English tea, the congregation was taken on a tour on the new facilities including the Music School and Goodfield Building to round off a fantastic day. As one OC mentioned, "Its incredible how much things have changed, but it is still the same Churcher's".
