Remembrance Concert goes online

This year's Remembrance Concert has gone online to raise money for the Royal British Legion...

The Remembrance Concert is a highlight of the Churcher's musical calendar and this year both staff and pupils were determined not to cancel this year's performance, so they came up with the idea of a virtual concert rehearsed and filmed under strict social distancing rules.  This involved year group bubbles for the orchestra with wind and brass performers playing at home and filming themselves. The choir year group bubbles had to mime when filmed in order to stand closer to each other with the singing recorded standing apart from each other and staff. Once that mammoth task had been finished it was down to staff to weave their magic and edit all the footage into one, half hour film.

We hope you agree that it was well worth the effort and that the current pupils are maintaining the high musical standards set for them by their forebears.
